I'm Nick, the TA for this class starting week 2. I live in Cambridge MA, which is an awesome place to be if you are interested in biotech. I'm going into my senior year at UMass Amherst in the fall, studying Biology and Environmental Science. I currently work in a research lab at UMass and I study an electroconductive bacteria called Geobacter, which has a lot of really cool applications, including biosensing and bioremediation. I was also a part of the MIT iGEM team in 2015, which is a program that allows students to design their own synthetic biology project in a professional lab setting.
